Local SEO: when the choice happens three blocks away
Two clinics on the same avenue. The first one on the map is neither the better rated nor the older.
What decides that order is almost never inside the Google listing. It depends on how many people, outside the listing, treat that business as the neighborhood’s go-to.
This page is the service. The manual is published next door
This site has a whole section that teaches this work step by step. There you will find the grid scan, which maps your position corner by corner. It also covers the name, phone, and address audit. And it shows how to find the categories your competitor keeps out of sight.
It is all in local SEO, open to anyone, with a prompt ready to copy. Our own scan is published there too, mediocre number included.
If you want to do it yourself, the material is yours, free of charge. This page is for when you want us to do it.
Who it makes sense for
A business with a front door. A clinic, an office, a store, a restaurant, anywhere the customer walks in.
A service-area business. You travel to the customer, and your address is not open to the public.
A multi-location business. The problem changes in kind here. Each location is an entity with its own address, and all of them need to point to one company.
A franchise. Same logic as a multi-location business, with one added complication. The person running the location is not the one who controls the brand.
What the work does
A baseline for every street corner. Your position on the map is not one number, it is a map of numbers. The grid scan draws it, with a date, before anything changes.
Consistent data. The same name, phone, and address everywhere the machine reads about your business. A mismatch here is noise you produce yourself.
The listing from the inside. Primary category, secondary categories, and attributes. The public interface hides that part, and it usually decides more than the photos.
Prominence. Who talks about your business besides you. It is the slow factor, the one the mechanism in Google’s patent measures. It is also where most competitors never work. The three factors article takes the whole patent apart, dates included. It also carries the caveat that a patent documents a described mechanism.
Reviews, read by their pace. A steady pace is more useful than the running total. Reviews that arrive every week signal a living operation.
The local entity tied to the company. The location has an address, and the company has an EIN, its tax ID. The two need to be declared as parts of the same thing. The Entity SEO section covers this, applied to an address with a ZIP code.
Remeasurement. Same grid, same keyword, new window. Comparing you against yourself is the only honest comparison the tool allows.
What you cannot buy
Google’s official help is explicit on this point. There is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Our local SEO section quotes the sentence word for word, as it appears in the source.
Anyone guaranteeing first place on Maps is promising what the system’s owner denies. We promise no position and no deadline. What we promise is a measured baseline, work in the right order, and remeasurement on the same grid.
How it starts
It starts with a WhatsApp message to the commercial team, led by Polly. The channels are on the contact page.
If you have already run the scan yourself, bring the screenshot and the date. The conversation starts much further along.
Frequently asked questions
Do you manage my Google Business Profile, or only advise?
Our team executes. Where you already have an in-house team, it handles its own part, with the plan and the criteria in hand.
Does it work if I serve customers at their homes, with no storefront?
It does, and the setup differs from a business with a front door. The diagnosis defines what changes in your case before anyone touches the listing.
I have ten locations. Which one comes first?
The measurement of all ten comes first. The grid shows where the loss is biggest, and the work order follows.
Are local SEO and regular SEO separate projects?
They are layers of the same work. The site has to be up and running, and the company has to exist as an entity. That is why a lot of this work brings SEO consulting along with it.
